RIIO, School of ophthalmology has a pleasure to work with Dr. John Anhalt who is lecturing RIIO residents about Phacoemulsification alongside June 2024.
Dr. John Anhalt is an attending physician specializing in Cataract and Primary Eye Care at Wills Eye Hospital. Following his residency at Wills Eye Hospital, he pursued a fellowship in Academic Global Ophthalmology, providing him with the opportunity to train under some of the global leaders in ophthalmology at RIIO, LVPEI, and Aravind Eye Hospital. His expertise lies in cataract and anterior segment surgery, with a focus on enhancing access to high-quality eye care through resident education and surgical outreach. Dr. Anhalt currently directs the Academic Global Ophthalmology fellowship, dedicated to training ophthalmologists in the US and Rwanda, shaping the future of eye care.
