RIIO-KIBAGABAGA Hospital partnership aims to Provide Specialized comprehensive eye care services to the community at kibagabaga hospital. This is a model of public private partnership for Improving access to high quality eye care Services in the spirit of UHC, Leaving no one behind.
The Clinic is located within the grounds of the main Kibagabaga District Hospital and is easily accessible from both Kimironko and Nyarutarama areas.
Services offered at the hospital include; Ophthalmology consultations, surgeries and Optical services.
The Clinic is open from 7:00am – 5:00pm ( Monday-Friday).
The Medical Team is led by RIIO Director Prof. Ciku Mathenge (MD,MSc, PHD) and comprises of consultanting Ophthalmologists from Rwanda and abroad, a team of RIIO Ophthalmology residents as well as clinical officers. The clinic is equiped with modern equipment as well as an Operating theatre.
