During the reported period COECSA has developed and administered its own written exams to supplement the current Clinical Exam , which allows the COECSA Exam to be a complete stand-alone pathway to qualification as an ophthalmologists when complemented by training in an accredited facility that delivers and tracks learning as described in the COECSA Residency curriculum.
As an Accredited COECSA Training facility , RIIO has been shortlisted as COECSA Online Written Examination Center and hosted successful on 23rd June 2023 the following exams
COECSA Part 2 – Clinical Ophthalmology: 09.00Am – 12.30Pm (EAT)
COECSA Part 1B – Optics & Refraction: 14.00Pm – 15.30Pm (EAT) 5 RIIO Residents sat the exams ( 1 did Optics and Refraction while others 4 did Clinical Ophthalmology )
