This month, RIIO is thrilled to welcome Sanika Udyaver, a global ophthalmology fellow at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. She went to medical school at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and completed her ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital. She is interested in improving global eye health, guiding resident education, and providing hands-on clinical care.
At RIIO, Sanika will be leading a wet lab program designed to teach residents the first steps of phacoemulsification, a critical skill in modern cataract surgery. Her expertise and dedication will greatly benefit the RIIO residents, helping them develop the practical skills needed to excel in their careers.
