In order to ensure that mentorship of graduated ophthalmologists from RIIO is done across the 4 Health facilities (KIBAGABAGA, KIBUYE, RUHENGERI and RWAMAGANA Level II Teaching Hospitals) where the Young Ophthalmologists graduates from RIIO have been deployed by Ministry of Health (MOH).
RIIO in partnership with The Fred Hollows Foundation Rwanda (representing the funder) have launched Accelerate Eye Clinic Project model that aims to support systems for eye care management and delivery in four Health facilities and thus positively impact the productivity and effectiveness of Young Ophthalmologists.
This Project is supported by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) while the implementation of this project is being done by Rwanda International Institute of Ophthalmology (RIIO)
