The idea for this particular project is to provide full treatment including surgery, medications and post-operative follow-up, to up to 22 adults at the RIIO/Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital.
Rwanda International Institute of Ophthalmology (RIIO) in partnership with Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital and KCB held a cataract outreach camp in August, 2017.
We were able to provide 20 surgeries with 4 additional surgeries needed.
In December 2018, three patients underwent cataract surgery in their second eye. One patient underwent laser treatment.
